Hi! My name is Isabella, and I am the President of GW Catholics. I was born and raised in South Florida and am of Colombian descent. I love the ocean, but you can mostly catch me poolside reading a classic novel or autobiography. Since a young age, the news was one of my sources of entertainment, thus moving to Washington for college was a no-brainer. I’m a junior in the Elliott School studying International Affairs and Economics. While life after college seems like a distant dream, I hope to attend law school and study international law. I hope to travel, meet new people, and explore new cultures. In the very distant future, my dream job would be to serve on the President’s Cabinet. But running for office, whether that be for the Senate or for the chair behind the resolute desk, sounds pretty cool too! The one thing I do know is that I long to keep the Lord with me wherever I go. When I came to college, I wasn’t looking to grow in my faith, but the Lord had other plans for me. I found the Newman Center, and fell deeper in love with God. Newman became my home and it fostered faith-filled friendships that will last for a lifetime. My only goal is to share with others the love of Christ and what I’ve received here at GW Catholics!! I long for other students to run into His arms and experience His everlasting mercy.
