Hey everyone, my name is Arthur, and I’ve been blessed to be chosen as the Director of Liturgy and Prayer at the Newman Center! I’m a sophomore currently studying International Affairs at the Elliott School.
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, where I’ve lived my whole life. My family is from France, so I was raised in both French and American culture! Growing up I was not raised in any religion, but my family would go to Mass on Christmas Eve. There I first experienced the peace of God, and from then on a desire was ignited within me to learn more about the Catholic faith.
During my senior year I began going to Mass regularly and praying on a regular basis, but it was my discovery of the amazing community here at Newman that inspired me to dive head first into my faith. It truly felt like I had found a home away from home and a new purpose that I didn’t know I needed, and I was finally able to go through RCIA and get baptized in April!
I am so happy to be on the leadership team for GW Catholics this year, and I look forward to serving you as your Director of Liturgy and Prayer!
