Hi everyone! My name is Anna and I am excited to serve as the Director of Outreach this semester.
I’m a sophomore majoring in Political Communication in the School of Media and Public Affairs and a psychology minor. I’m a proud Pennsylvanian from the Philadelphia suburbs.
I first came to the Newman Center in the fall of my freshman year as I was curious about what being a practicing Catholic in college looked like. Growing up, my family instilled in me the importance of the sacraments and giving back to our parish community. I quickly found a welcoming community at Newman that pushed my desire to grow deeper in my faith.
As outreach director, I want you to know that there is a space at the Newman Center for all students to find peace and rest from their busy lives on campus. I hope you’ll come and discover our community and explore what it means to be Catholic.
Apart from Newman, I’m a staff writer for the GW Hatchet student newspaper and a producer for GW-TV’s Capital Crossfire. In my free time I love reading, baking, and having a chill night in with my friends.
I can’t wait to meet you!
