The Mission of GW Catholics at the Newman Center is to form lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ by encouraging a commitment to prayer, the sacraments, service, stewardship, and evangelization.
“The sacraments are the center of our community. Jesus present in the Eucharist is what brings us all together… Daily Mass at Newman is so beautiful because the students are so involved. The students lector, the students serve, and the students worship. We come together as a student community to worship Jesus in the holy sacrifice of the Mass... The chaplain also offers reconciliation every day and it is such a blessing for students to receive God’s love and mercy on a daily basis… There are too many graces to count from the sacraments!” - Abigail Hedglen (Senior)
